Sofia (Halle Berry) Will Not Return to “John Wick” 4th Sequel

“John Wick: Chapter 3” brought many a new face into play in addition to old companions of the eponymous hitman – including Winston (Ian McShane) and Charon (Lande Reddick). One of those characters might even get a spin-off now .

Probably the most impressive appearance among the newcomers in “John Wick: Chapter 3” was the ex-assassin Sofia (Halle Berry) with her vicious four-legged friends at her side. In a quite lengthy action sequence, she fought her way across Casablanca’s marketplace with John Wick (Keanu Reeves) and their dogs. The result was, as is usual for the film series, a perfectly choreographed fight that left a gigantic bloodbath in its wake.

In an interview with IGN, Halle Berry spoke about the future of the character she embodied. So Sofia will not be seen in the recently postponed sequel “John Wick: Chapter 4”, but there may be a reunion with her.

Sofia is not part of the next ‘John Wick’ movie. There could possibly be a Sofia film. She may not be in ‘John Wick,’ but she may be doing her own thing. Berry told IGN.

The Future For “John Wick”

After John Wick: Chapter 4 was postponed again, we still have to wait more than a year for the assassin to return. Because the new German start date is now March 23, 2023. Therefore, the already confirmed fifth offshoot of the series will still be a long time coming. If you’re already in the mood for some hard-hitting action with Keanu Reeves, you can watch John Wick: Chapter 3 on Netflix.

However, the three-part spin-off series “The Continental” is scheduled to start this year – unless it is also postponed. The focus is on the hotel chain that acts as a constant retreat for the actors of the underworld in the films. Albert Hughes, who previously helmed The Book of Eli and Alpha, is set to direct. With Mel Gibson, a well-known Hollywood actor is also on board.

There will also be a spin-off for the big screen, in which Ana de Armas will go on her personal vendetta as a young assassin. The project, simply titled Ballerina, will be directed by Len Wiseman (Underworld) and will be written by Shay Hatten, who also wrote John Wick: Chapter 3. A release date is still pending.
