Apparently, a real horror highlight is ahead of us: “ X ” celebrated its premiere at the South By Southwest (SXSW) festival and then also in American cinemas, and so far the horror film has almost exclusively received strong reviews. And if the voices of fans and the trade press are not convincing, the praise from horror Pope Stephen King himself, who was also enthusiastic about “X”, maybe convincing.

In addition to the currently 96 percent positive reviews at Rotten Tomatoes (average rating 7.8 out of 10 in 142 counted reviews) and the meta score of 78 out of 100 points (27 reviews), which is not only very good for a horror film, there is now this praise from King, who in the past has taken sides for films and series that are close to his heart.
“X”: First Fantasy Filmfest, Then Theatrical Release
It will be a little longer before we see “X” in Germany, but at least at one festival the slasher by director Ti West (“The Innkeepers”, “The House Of The Devil”) will start next week: “X” opens the Fantasy Filmfest Nights and can therefore be seen on March 31, 2022, in Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne, Munich and on April 7 in Berlin, Nuremberg and Stuttgart.
