Whether you find a good number of dead hair on your bed every morning or have other hair issues like dandruff, thinning hair, dull and lifeless hair, this homemade manuka honey shampoo is sure to salvage your most important beauty element
What is Manuka honey?
Manuka honey, as its name says, is made by bees that pollinate Manuka trees. The tree, also called tea tree is native to Australia and New Zealand. Advocates of Manuka honey claim that it is more potent than the normal honey though such claims lack scientific evidence.
That being said, there is one major component though that definitely gives Manuka more powerful antibacterial properties. Methylglyoxal, the main antibacterial agent is present in large quantities in this specific type of honey though it is also found in all other types of honey but in very small quantities. Besides that, it is simply honey. As I said previously, there is no one single research that terms this honey any differently. And what does that mean for us in this recipe? It means you don’t need to go after Manuka. Just make sure the honey you grab is in raw form.
So, let’s make our great shampoo!
