How to Get Rid Of Cockroaches Safely Once and For All

While I don’t like any arthropod lurking around me, a cockroach is a different thing altogether. For me, a cockroach in the room means horror, an obvious danger, an existential threat. I am not exaggerating by any means. If I am forced to choose between two rooms to enter_room A with a hungry wild lion and room B with a couple of these disgusting creatures, you will find my bones in the room A the next morning.

So, to thwart a danger of that magnitude, you need a WMD (Weapon of mass destruction). At the end of the day, it’s about survival baby!

Health hazards of cockroaches

As cockroaches are drawn to human food they can be a health hazard. They both defecate and regurgitate on the food they eat. While this is itself disgusting, they also contaminate food by spreading bacteria and all other types of germs. Besides this, cockroaches are also common allergens.

How to win the battle against roaches?

Cockroaches are around for so long, longer than humans and most animals. Millions of years of evolution has battle-hardened them. You can’t suffocate, decapitate or shoot them. They can even continue living headless. Above all, scientists believe that cockroaches can even survive a nuclear apocalypse. So, the only way to win this battle of survival is to invade them from within.

While there are a couple of chemicals to deal with roaches, most of them can pose risk to humans as well. That’s where this homemade safe-to-humans WMD comes.

Some people say Ultrasonic Repellents worked for them!

Ultrasonic insect repellents are a clean, cheap and risk-free way to repel most of the insects and small rodents. Other then bedbugs where the Ultrasonic repellent got competing reviews from users, the ultrasonic repellent seems to be working for people, I can’t say anything for certain though. Maybe try yourself and see how that goes for you. You can order the celebrated PestReject here.

On the next page, we will know how to prepare the chemical weapon.

  1. Used egg yolk raw and mixed same concoction for ants, they loved it. But will be glad to use drier potion for roaches…. yuk.
    Thanks for the potion..

    • While this may be a concern you may try a quick fix. Try adding the scent of rue, lavender, pennyroyal, Coleus canina or lemon thyme. Cats dislike these smells. Hope this helps.

  2. I’ve used this for years but mixing it with corn meal. Then leave it in small caps sitting in the cabinets and under appliances all over the house. I replace it every 6 months or so.

    • A bunch of roaches come by the bait at night.
Some of them eat the bait. A few of them take bits and pieces back to the nest.
Over the span of a few days, those that ate the bait die. The ones back at the nest that shared the bait die as well.
All the cockroaches do not die in a single location. They perish all over the house, and some of them die right in the nest.
Other roaches come by carcasses and feed on them. The ones that died in the nest, well, it’s a feast for the remaining.
Those cannibals, they all get killed because the poison still lingered in the carcasses.
