A Simple Night Skincare Routine for a Flawless Skin

Did you know that our skin is the largest organ in our body? All this time, we have always given more importance to what we call “superior organs” such as the heart and lungs, but ask yourself, would these organs be safe without skin?

Our lives have gotten so hectic that most of us don’t take care of our skin, which later leads to acne, melasma, and other skin issues. It is essential that we take care of our skin, not just to look good but feel good too.

Follow this simple night skincare routine to keep your skin flawless:

Less is More

You need to understand that it is not essential that you need to apply loads of products for that glass skin; in fact, if you use too many skincare products, there are chances that your skin will worsen. You must be wondering how, so let me tell you. When we apply several products on your skin at one time, it becomes hard for our skin to absorb them at once, which neutralizes their effect.
Once the effect is neutralized, our skin becomes immune to it, and it no longer works on our skin.

What you should do is stick to a few skincare products and use the rest now and then, maybe twice a week, but not daily.

Remove Your Makeup

The biggest mistake people make is they don’t remove their makeup well, and when they realize this, it’s already too late. You need to understand that our skin has tiny little holes when we do not remove makeup from our skin correctly; it sits in those pores that later become whiteheads and blackheads!

These whiteheads and blackheads later lead to more severe problems like acne. Make sure you remove your make up once its purpose is over. Your skin will thank you.

Use a Mild Cleanser

Once you have removed your cleanser, it’s best that you double cleanse. For double cleansing, you will need an oil-based cleanser, or you can take any oil (except coconut oil as it clogs your pores) and massage it on your face. Once you’ve massaged your skin correctly you can wash your face, and you’ll notice how much makeup remained on your skin.

Next, you can take any foaming cleanser and cleanse your face to get rid of any makeup residues and oil-based cleanser/oil.

Scrub Your Face

Get your hands on a mild scrub, and after cleansing mildly cleanse your face. Pay extra attention to the area on the sides of your nose and your chin; this is where most blackheads and whiteheads are found.
Make sure you scrub your face for very little time and with very light pressure, you wouldn’t want to tear your skin apart.

Use a Toner

Using a toner is essential, especially after scrubbing as it will close all your pores that were opened during scrubbing. Take cotton and pour some toner on it, and rub it on your face. Let it sit for a while and then apply your favorite moisturizer.

You need to understand that flawless skin is healthy skin, and it’s not the perfect skin. No one is perfect, we can work on our flaws however we must embrace them and love ourselves for what we are.
