Homemade Toilet Cleaning Bombs | Only 3 Ingredients

These toilet cleaning bombs are super easy to make and will make your toilet sparkling clean.

Do you hate cleaning the toilet like me? If so, this recipe is definitely for you. Because I am so bad at cleaning the toilet, the reason being I actually hate doing so, I was desperately searching for a solution. And boom! I came across one. These toilet cleaning bombs saved my life!

The recipe was originally shared by Jessica on Mom4real. It used only 3 ingredients, in my case  I have added one more ingredient to serve one additional purpose. So, let’s get started with bomb-making!


Homemade Toilet Cleaning Bombs | Only 3 Ingredients

A 4 ingredient toilet cleaning bomb recipe. Super easy to make and very effective in purpose.

1 cup baking soda

1/2 cup citric acid.

1 tbs dish liquid. (No specific brand)

6 drops essential oil


  1. Add all the ingredients to a large bowl.
  2. Mix well with your hands, a whisk or a spoon.
  3. Now press fill a silicon mould tray or ice cube tray with the mixture.
  4. Let them stay for 4 hours or overnight. Pop them out and store them in an air tight container such as a jar.

How to use?

Toss a toilet bomb into your toilet. It should start fizzing which means the cleaning process has started. Enjoy a hands free toilet cleaning experience.


If you have limited mould available and the mixture is still remaining, store the excess mixture in a plastic bag. Once the previous batch is ready, empty the mould and refill with fresh mixture.
