Transporting the sapling to the pot

The right time to transport your newborn to the pot or growing container is when the roots of the germinated sapling reach 3-4 inches in length.

  1. Take an 8 inch or more container, fill more than half of it with one part potting soil and one part peat moss. This makes the soil lightweight for improved aeration.
  2. Now gently position the avocado on top and add more soil in the same above mentioned proportion.
  3. Gently pat the soil around the seed to firm it up.

  4. Add an adequate amount of water and saturate the soil. The best is until water runs out of the bottom of the pot. Water the plant twice or thrice a week, see the magic happening in front of your eyes!
