Transporting the sapling to the pot
The right time to transport your newborn to the pot or growing container is when the roots of the germinated sapling reach 3-4 inches in length.
To do this:

- Take an 8 inch or more container, fill more than half of it with one part potting soil and one part peat moss. This makes the soil lightweight for improved aeration.
- Now gently position the avocado on top and add more soil in the same above mentioned proportion.
- Gently pat the soil around the seed to firm it up.
- Add an adequate amount of water and saturate the soil. The best is until water runs out of the bottom of the pot. Water the plant twice or thrice a week, see the magic happening in front of your eyes!
